Lloyds Pharmacy Closure in Sainsburys Supermarkets

Sainsbury Lloyds PharmacyOn January 15, 2023, it was announced that Lloyd’s Pharmacy branches inside Sainsbury’s supermarkets would close.

237 Lloyds branches will close as a result of substantial restructuring, which was brought on by “changing market conditions.”

The closing of Lloyds Pharmacy will cause considerable changes to Sainsbury’s outlets across the country.

How will this affect Prescription Services?

There are still many questions about Lloyds pharmacy leaving Sainsbury’s including “Will the branches close or be auctioned off?”. However, we wanted to make it clear that prescriptions and repeat prescriptions, including NHS and Private prescriptions can be transferred to other pharmacies simply by contacting your local pharmacy.
